POLLWORKERS NEEDED
There is a continuing need for people to work at the polls on election days, and a growing need for bilingual workers (English-Spanish). The Brazoria County Elections Office is now actively recruiting people who are interested in assisting in this important part of the democratic process.

Some of the requirements are:
  • Must be a registered voter in Brazoria County
  • Must have transportation
  • Must be able to attend training in Angleton
  • Able to work a 14-hour day with a smile (It is preferred that you serve the entire Election Day. Voting occurs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., but the work day normally begins at 6 a.m. for setting up the polling place, and extends after the polls close for taking down the equipment and packing up supplies.)
  • Possible need to accompany election judge to Angleton after polls close on election night
  • Can NOT be an elected official of any jurisdiction
Clerks will be paid $10.00 per hour for time worked. Payment of $30.00 for training will be paid upon completion of work on election day.

Anyone interested in being an election clerk should let the Elections Office know by calling 281-756-1371, or by sending an e-mail message to susanc@brazoria-county.com. This office will pass along the information to the Democratic or Republican Party chairs (you may indicate your preference) and to election judges who call for assistance in filling their positions.

Download the Pollworker Application, fill in your information and fax/email the application back to the Elections Office.
